Get Your Reds On!

This weekend I took apart from an event 'Ilublogijate Kokkutulek 2016' where many Estonian beauty bloggers got together, learned about few beauty brands, enjoyed good food and drinks. Most importantly between all that we got to meet each other, talk all the important talks and leave with the goodie bags that were full of products to try... and all that because of to the most generous sponsors who supported us and made this event possible.

Wonderful Al Bastione restaurant hosted us and fed us wonderful food. Their healthy pizza disappeared as fast as they served it and their interior was cozy yet sleek. Vitamin Well and John Lemon took it to their responsibility that we wouldn't get thirsty. Hands down, both beverages taste wonderful, are good for you and keep you going. Lovely local homemade waffle makers from Vahvlihaldjad served us the crispiest nostalgic waffles I have tasted in a long time. These do bring back memories from childhood and will definitely be the highlight of every event.

Many companies chose to take apart from the event and introduce their products in person. Even though a lot of them were already familiar to me, I enjoyed getting to know how some products were born, what were the struggles and joys when creating them and the gratitude towards beauty bloggers as a part of their journey was felt almost everywhere.

As I have decided long time ago, I will be honest and clear in all of my posts. Not everything was great and bubbly, but that is also fine, because it gives us something to think about, a new perspective and an experience! The only bitter taste I had in my mouth when leaving this event was due to the person who represented Vestige Verdant.

I love this company and admire everything they do and have done so far. They have always been so humble, brave and appreciative of everything, therefore the whole situation was very surprising. I do hope that Vestige Verdant as a company don't actually accept the qualities like 'we are better than everybody else', 'we know better than our competitors', 'we only lost, because we don't have as much resources' as their own. Their spokes person who was representing them at the event, highlighted so greatly with pride in his eyes, that this is his way of thinking and sadly reflected these beliefs into the company. Publicly trashing and taunting the other company who's creator is in the same room is also not professional and made everybody roll their eyes. This is not healthy competition like he defended his behaviour afterwards, it is abuse and shows more fear than confidence. I do think there is enough room and beautiful faces in the world to TurBliss the and Vestige Verdant, because both companies make amazing organic peat masks, have totally different campaigns and roads ahead of them. I also do admire and have so much respect to the creator of TurBliss who in all of this stayed so professional, held her back straight and was above all of itTo sum this up I do want to believe this instance was only because they chose the wrong person to represent them, the company itself has their original positive attitude they had in the beginning of their road and they haven't forgot where they come from - the same place their competitors, little country Estonia that has enough peat for both of them.

On the positive note, we also got exciting information that NYX Cosmetics will soon be in Estonia with its wide selection of affordable and colourful makeup. I also got to play with few products they had on their display and found myself drooling all over their blushes that were so tempting.

As I mentioned, we all walked away with heavy goodie bags provided by all the sponsors. I will get to testing everything and in the near future you will see many reviews, opinions and my talking, talking, talking about them.

Too Much Jewellery?

Many people understand that too much jewellery is a major fashion mistake; in fact, it may be in the top of the list of fashion errors. It seems at times that some people simply don't know when to stop. Jewellery is a great thing because it can make an outfit stand out, or highlight your natural features. But when is too much? This post aims to answer that question once and for all.

Wearing too much jewellery is an overwhelming experience to those that see you. It creates too much distraction from you, your clothing and yes, even the jewellery itself. Strive to make yourself the center of everyone's attention, not your amount of jewellery.

Remember: jewellery is an accessory, and a little goes a long way. Think of what Coco Chanel had famously to say about the matter: "Before you leave the house, take one thing off." Take this advice if you're in the habit of wearing a dozen “things.”

Here's another important piece of advice. Sometimes jewellery isn't necessary. Many times women will wear a necklace or bracelet when there is no need and then even that simple amount of jewellery can be overkill. Plan your style carefully and consider if the jewellery will accent your outfit or detract.

The most important time to skip a necklace is when many women feel is the best time to wear one: when you're wearing a low-cut dress or halter top. These outfits already reveal a great deal of your collarbone, neck and chest. Don't draw too much attention and cheapen your look by wearing a necklace; the clothing is enough and can stand by itself. Usually an attention-grabbing pair of earrings will do in these circumstances.

Another situation to watch out for is this: wearing large earrings with a necklace. Balance is very important to create the right look and this is one of the reasons too much jewellery is a no-no. You wouldn't ever pair dark lipstick with dark eye makeup; don't make the same mistake with jewellery. Let your clothing and self be the center of attention.

In summary, balance should always be kept in mind to avoid wearing too much accessories. Think about this when you're getting ready to go out. Also, make sure it's you that shines through, not your choice of over-the-top necklace. Above all else, jewellery should be thought of as an accent. Use it sparingly and you'll wind up looking your best.

Snacks With Power

very often delicious snacks aren't that good for your health. Foodpower mixed deliciousness with healthiness together and came up with variety of raw food snacks to anybody's taste. Everything they make is handmade, with quality ingredients and raw. Therefore it contains lots of powerful ingredients that haven't been processed and are ready to go into your body. As Foodpower's taste selection is wide I jumped right into it and tried many, many snacks in a period of time. Now I have picked out three of my favourites with desire to introduce them to you. One of these beautiful red glossy packages holds salty raw snacks and two reveal sweet berry snacks.

Being little bit doubtful at first I didn't expect any of these to be amazingly tasty or something I would eat regularly. Raw, having shortest ingredients list ever (garlic snacks contain flax seeds, cabbage, tomato, garlic, onions and natural seasoning) made me curious, but not sure if it would be something I would enjoy.

And I was certainly surprised! As I adore saltier snacks over the sweet ones I absolutely adore these Foodpower garlic snacks. They have just the right amount of taste and crunch to them, taste of garlic isn't overpowering and while eating you can absolutely forget it contains cabbage or flax seeds. It tastes like any good high quality chips if not even better. Meanwhile you can be confident as you know flax seeds along with other ingredients are healthy, good for metabolism and overall wellbeing. And dollop of garlic will keep those winter time colds and viruses away. Definitely worth having again!

On the sweeter note! I also had blackcurrant roll-ups and blueberry buttons - both seem very similar, yet very different when you taste or even look at them. Roll-ups contain only three ingredients: berries, banana and vanilla. Slight taste of banana kicks in at first, then you can feel the actual taste of berries in a soft texture of the melting fruit roll. It reminded me so much of a real blackcurrants and it was amazing to get the taste of it in your mouth in the middle of the winter.

Buttons on the other hand would suit to the persons who like sweets, but don't want to eat unhealthy while enjoying sugary snacks. These are made of whipped egg whites and real berries along with unrefined sugar. Although it contains sugar, containing 50% of real berries taste didn't feel artificial or too sugary at all. Meringue-like texture gives you the feeling of a guilty pleasure, but after you have finished the package you have the strong aftertaste of berries in your mouth.

If your daily food lacks of good fibre, vitamins, enzymes, minerals along with other powerful ingredients and you can't bring yourself to snacking on fruits or vegetables, these are definitely treats you can munch on without feeling bad or guilty.
